Ideal for 5 to 6 People Rival's 6 Quart Round CrockPot/Slow Cooker for the busy family
Amazon.com Review
Ideal for a large family or a dinner party, this round CrockPot from Rival is cleanly designed and simple to operate. One dial turns to three heat settings, low, high, and keep warm for serving, and a red light indicates the power is on. The heavy stoneware crock lifts out of the heating base for easy cleaning thanks to a stick-resistant coating, and is attractive enough to serve from right at the table. While the crock is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher, it is not intended for use on a stovetop or under a broiler.
With two cook settings, low and high, the pot can slow cook a wide variety of stews, roasts, and soups, recipes for which are included in the owner's guide. The glass lid, also dishwasher-safe, sends moisture back into the pot while at the same time allows contents to be viewed. Easy to carry by means of heat-resistant, flange-style handles, the pot measures 10 inches high by 12 inches in diameter (14 inches with handles). Rival covers the slow cooker with a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

This review is from: Crock-Pot 3060-W 6-Quart Round Slow Cooker, White (Kitchen)
This is a great value and enduring product. I've had my Rival crock pot for over 10 years, and have used it literally HUNDREDS of times. This is another one of those very low cost but high value kitchen tools.
The low setting allows for slow (12 hour+) cooking overnight or all day. I love to put on a pot of chili before I go to bed or work, and let the house soak up the aroma!
Just be careful with the countertop placement, as the sides get very hot!

When I was looking for a crockpot, I wanted something affordable and durable. My Mom had a Rival crock pot when I was younger (it was orange and older than the hills). My Dad also has an older version of this one, only it has a plastic lid. After 10 years, the lid broken, but it still works.
I got this one and love it. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that are available with some of the more costly models, nor does it have a design. It is just a nice crock pot that is big enough for a small roast or a pot of chili (which is great on a winter's day)

Rival gives the cook a great product with this easy to use and clean cooker. From stews to beans to roasts, you've got a great little machine here, and the removable crock is so convenient! Cook the dish for your church potluck, wait for the crock to cool a bit, take it out, and off you go with no need to change dishes! The crock is attractive enough to sit on the table for serving with your best dishes. Dishwasher safe, too! Highly recommend for any cook, and makes a great wedding shower gift!

Slow-cook, heat and serve up to 3 different tasty dishes at once with this super-versatile 3-station slow cooker buffet. The height of convenience, this unit features three 2-1/2-quart ceramic slow cooker pots, which sit within a stainless-accented serving frame, complete with spoon slots. For holidays, parties, or just a night at home with the family, this unit will fit the bill.

Had the whole family over for Christmas Eve. Placed food in crock pots, when finished changed to warmer. Kept me out of the kitchen and able to enjoy the festivities.

I bought this for my dad for Father's Day and he loved it. He is really into cooking and we used this item right away. A bit larger than we anticipated the product being but still so great! Affordable and shipped quickly! A++

This review is from: Nostalgia Electrics TSC-250BLK 2-1/2-Quart Triple Slow Cooker Buffet, Stainless/Black (Kitchen)
This is one of 2 items I have purchased from Amazon that is of poor quality in nearly 10 years of shopping. I was looking forward to it so I could prepare multiple healthy meals on the weekend for a busy work week.
The metal finish of the base unit was dull and easily marked. The black portion of the unit also was very cheap appearing and easily marked. There are no lights on the unit to tell if a pot is off or on.You plug it in and adjust the dials. You could easily get burned.
The pot and lids were fine but the base really takes away from the product. The unit is also quite lengthy. It takes up alot of counterspace. It easily could have been more compact. Also, the cord had a sticky white substance stuck to it that took nearly 30 minutes to peel off in little pieces, YUK!
It is too heavy and bulky to return.
I will try it but most likely it will go to a good cause. Next time I will pay more attention to the brand name.
